Let’s get the big stuff out of the way.
CEMETERY DANCE AQUIRES ALL FIVE BOOKS IN THE BLACK WELLS SERIES
It’s been a wild ride with this one. I’m very proud to announce that Cemetery Dance has purchased the rights to publish all five books in the Black Wells series, starting in 2024. An exciting addition to the books is that each new version will have an introduction written by the one and only, often imitated never duplicated,
Sadie has been the series’ greatest advocate and without her, the world of Black Wells, Colorado would not be moving forward.
Books in the Black Wells Series:
All These Subtle Deceits
All The Prospect Around Us
All That Mankind Fails To Bear
All Our Strange Glory
All For The Fiery Hunt
Thank you to everyone who supported me. The outpouring of support for these books was overwhelming when Dark Matter announced they would not continue the series. You’re all wonderful and I’ll have more details on this headed your way, but we did it.
We really fucking did it.
AND SPEAKING OF CEMETERY DANCE AND WONDERFUL NEWS:
A RED WINTER IN THE WEST COVER REVEAL
It’s the sequel to THE MASSACRE AT YELLOW HILL, book two in That Light Sublime trilogy and I truly want it to succeed. Cemetery Dance has been wonderful about the series. Here’s what some folks have said about A RED WINTER IN THE WEST, which you can pre-order here.
This book is everything I want for my reading experience. I felt it all. I’ve invested in the characters (some from the first book, some new ones) so fucking hard.
Sadie “Mother Horror” Hartmann, 101 Books To Read Before You Are Murdered
"Cosmic horror, monster hunters, secret societies and more in a brilliantly realized frontier Western. Brutal and blood-soaked, A Red Winter in the West promises a lot and then over-delivers. C S Humble is a force." - Alan Baxter, author of Sallow Bend
Fans of the weird western genre who enjoy their stories with equal parts action and horror told with captivating characters will LOVE this book – I sure did! But they’d do well to read book one first. Based on the first two books, That Light Sublime Trilogy could well become a classic of the genre.
Thomas Joyce, This Is Horror
“…a proper weird western with emphasis on characters and the unsettling horrors that only the best writers of weird fiction ever seem to manage. I thought it was brilliantly handled. C.S. Humble does it right…"
- James A. Moore, author of Boomtown and Where The Sun Goes To Die
As always and forever, thank you all so much for your support of my books/work. It means the world to me, and it always will.
Cemetery Dance! Yeah!!
We really fucking did it. :)
